Our Sweets

Sweets in India have a rich history to each one of them and were always used just for one purpose: to serve our guests and sweeten their mouths! An entire palette of sweets was born for this one reason. They're fondly referred to as MITHAI. If the food of India ranges from hot curry in the South to a variety of bread in the North to tangy pickles, there is something constant among all its variety – the love for Indian sweets! There was a time not very long ago when the only way to savour the taste of sweets was to travel down to India and submit yourself entirely to their influence. Indian sweets are a kind of confectionery that mainly uses milk, sugar, flour, and condensed milk. Also, fermented foods, root vegetables, roasted and raw nuts and seeds, seasonal fruits, and dry fruits enhance their taste and garnish. In preparation, some sweets are cooked, others are baked, varieties are roasted, some are fried, and still, others involve a creative combination of preparation techniques to render them smooth and soft.
